Studio Photo at Romantic Bridal House

Romantic Bridal House – Studio Photo

Wedding gown fitting at Romantic Bridal for our Studio photos yesterday. Me, Hong Hong and XVee. The other day at One Utama, we passed by the wedding fair at the concourse and saw this eye-catching photos from Romantic Bridal. Hence, we sat down and talked a little bout the wedding packages (as Hong Hong is gonna be married someday end of the year).

We happily talked about the packages, until suddenly XVee blurp out that she wanted all three of us to take studio photos. We did it like 10 years ago, and now she wants to do it again. According to the salesgirl, Kim, we are able to wear any gown available at Romantic Bridal except those new gowns. Moreover, it’s said to be digitally printed with wordings and artwork during the fair.We told them "Yeah, your package is very attractive and not bad and we 3 are interested. But we will only sign-up this promotional package after we go to your studio and check out the gowns!!" As usual they said, "Can, but the promotion is only for today/the fair (blah blah)". We simply knod out heads and off we go pay for the deposit.

Yesterday, our visit to Romantic Bridal disappoints us. We were unable to get agreement because it seems suddenly like everything is different from what’s said in the fair. Grace was the sales person attended to us ..she ain't that friendly, but i don't blame her at first, cause maybe it’s late at night and she might be already very tired to serve another 3 customers. We went through the invoice one more time before we proceeded with the gown fitting. Here comes the argument about photos qualities and pricing and photo size. Everything said is different from said at the fair. Nope.. they have nothing wrong, it’s our mistake. We SHOULD have written every detail they spoke to us at the fair. And make them sign black and white in front of us. One word for brides signing packages from Romantic, details to be written on paper to ensure no argument and disappointment later on.

Next, we move on to choose our gown and theme. Themed photos do not need to choose gown as they are fixed already. We have 4 designs all together. I took one theme ‘Crystal’ and three other gowns to be choose separately. All those that we are allowed to try are so old and yellowish, and so not nice. There is nothing for us to choose as there is only 2 cupboards. Then we mingle around the VIP area, and they told us that those gowns are new, and need to add money if we intend to wear them.

After a few trying we still can't choose even one which we really like. As per them, those more beautiful gowns are all new and no one wears them before. Those gowns cost extra RM300-500. We refuse to pay for the extra; they said fine and served us with really lousy black face. The salesgirl did not look too friendly when we asked to try out more dresses and she wasn't too "service-oriented" either.

I was rather paranoid that the whole process is a disappointing one, but ended up, it's good fun, especially when you have your chi mui’s around. Having 3 girls and 2 assistant in a changing room, it’s packed and fun!

I think for all the future brides out there who plan to sign up for Romantic Bridal House, you just need to have a clear mind of what you really want to have at the end of day. Of coz, there are some unexpected "surprises", but so long as it sticks to your budget, then it's fine.

I still continue to pray for a smooth and blissful process with them till the day we collect our photo albums.
