Singapore with Kelvin and Jun Hien 14-4-2010

One of our customers in Singapore held a meeting at their premise, hoping to meet up with its entire supplier’s director or in-charge person. Both my bosses were not around at that particular time, therefore instructed me, Kelvin and Jun Hien to meet the customer by ourselves. All these while, I am not in the sales department, therefore, I have no idea whom are we going to meet there. Or what we were gonna do or say there.

Without any much information, just a word “ go on behalf of us, write out a report what you hear from them and report back to us, is all you need to do”.

Without much choice, the next day itself, we were assigned our earliest flight to Changi Airport.

I remembered visiting Singapore like 10 years ago, when I was still young for some tour with family. Do not have much memory about Singapore after all, only things like how clean and systematic are the country all these while.
Upon reaching Singapore airport, we took a taxi to Jurong, where we met our customer at 10am sharp. We were given a brief introduction about the company’s profile and background. A new UK company took over our current customer whereby they took charge over everything and changes their management styles. They need to sort of *educate* their supplier about their management changes and as usual, complained a lot of things regards to deliveries and qualities wise. Many other extra paper work and forms to fill in, in order to pass an order to account departments. Therefore, they were like telling us, without *this, this and that that* form filled and signed, ordered delivered will not be paid and so on la. English people do English stylo milo la…. Aih~ Whatever la. My job was to only translate that back to Chinese for my bosses…. :P

Our meeting last for about an hour plus, includes video, sharing of information and bullshitting of how we opt for a better relationship with them and so on…. stand up, shook our hands and off we head back to the city with our calling taxi.
Since there were still like a couple of hours before our flight back, we head to Orchard Road for a short city walk and food.

Walked into some foodcourt, had a quick lunch, walkabout blindly, passed by lots of branded shoplots, and finally our last stop, Borders. Then, off we head to the airport to catch our flight back.

Waiting at Borders for the two guys~

Say Goodbye to Singapore~

Bah Kut Teh + Sabi Wasabi + MBO Cinema 11-7-2010

Early morning, had Bah Kut Teh with mama and the little monkey.

Noon time, lunchie with Wfen and Victor [Hahaha… at that time he is still Victor, not my Ah Hau yet!].

WeiFen : Where are you PEEPing at??

Look at the way he order food... so cute lor...

Sabi Wasabi at Bukit Tinggi. This was the second time there. First time was with Hong Hong and gang. We were sitted downstairs. This time, we sat upstairs. The painting was amazing, strong bright red chairs paired with striking green wall paints. I love the atmosphere there. Felt so energetic and… fun.

Notice his funny look....

After our lunch, we went to KL, to find Wfen’s clothing suppliers, only to find out that they do not open on a Sunday. Went all the way there, and brought back….. *Lemon*. Hahaha…. Still ok la, we get to chat so much in the car.

Almost evening, what will you think of? BELI NOMBOR laaaa~

Hahahaha…. WF our…. AGENT for NOMBOR!! Hahahaha…

See… we can do these kind of things in the car. Somemore need to take photo as evidence tim!

Then, someone suggested cinema – Richie’s funny movie. We head back to Klang – MBO Cinema. The new cinema in Port Klang. Not bad, nice and quiet place, only that the cinemas’ were not too large, much smaller than those of TGV’s.

Cincai took a few photos here… while waiting for our movie.

Letter to Sumay

A letter I wrote to Sumay ( since she did not inform me of her suicidal… well.. just paste it onto my blog)

I understand you're feeling helpless and in pain, but before doing anything, please read this.

No matter what you're going through, no matter how hard it feels right now, you have the power to make things better. And they certainly will become better one day.

Dear, don’t do it. Don't even think about it, because I’m personally asking you not to.

Whatever you’re feeling, whatever you’re going through, things can get better – I know, because I’ve been there.

Trust me. I was there before. Maybe I haven’t experienced exactly what you have, but not only have I thought of suicide, I tried it. But thankfully I was unsuccessful and I can speak from personal experience when I tell you that things can get better. And they will. They certainly will I can assure you.

Pain…. You have… I have… everyone has them. There are many ways to reduce the pain, and ways to learn to deal with pains.

Deal your pains, don’t be afraid of them. Overcoming your pain is a better option than to leave everything behind.

Learn. You have to learn... everyone's got to learn how to deal with their own pains. You aren't the only one facing these challenges. I am too... we are too... everyone has their pain to overcome.

Come on... trust me. Everything will be fine….. it will be fine.

Learn... we are here to learn, aren't we. Take it as a lesson in life. A challenge from above to make us into better person in future. I can assure you after you have passed this challenge, good days are just standing there waiting for you.

Moreover, you are not alone. It’s so true.. you have us. All of us. We are here… being with you all these while. Aren’t you supposed to appreciate us than to leave us behind? Are we that useless and hopeless that you felt having us is nothing to be treasure and cherish about? And that we are just rubbish that you can simply leave behind?

We are here for you. We have to go through this. It will not bother you once you learn and overcome the pain.

It may be hard… nothing is easy anyway…. But live with it.

It is pain.

I know… but in other way, it makes us grow.

Sticky Affair at One U

1st August 2010

While walking around 1 Utama shopping mall, we spotted a large crowd at the entrance of one of the shops there. It turns out that everyone was packed there to look at how candies are hand made. Due to the enormous number of people, I couldn’t take any snapshots of the candy making process. However, I managed to squeeze my way into the shop to look at the finished products. Was fascinated by these people on how they hand made those candies. WF was so excited as she kept telling us that it’s from Australia and she didn’t know it came to Malaysia already. She happily bought few bottles of different flavors.

Sticky is apparently a very popular hand made candy brand in Australia. So what makes this candy so special? Each of these rock candy come with their own colourful design and even words inside them.

To my surprise, Hau bought me a jar of the little Sticky sweet. He gave them to me at WF’s house. I knew he bought something, but didn’t know it’s for me. Seeing him actually does like the sweets very much, I silently inserted the jar of sweet back into his luggage bag.

In the shopping mall, WF opened her jar and shared some with us. Although I am not a candy person, I actually liked them & won’t mind a bottle as the sweets tasted refreshing and yummy. They were a ‘lil sourish but not too sweet.

Hau was so surprise to find the jar of sweet in his luggage bag the next day. According to him, the sweets were left inside his car for one day under the sun. The sweets melted and got stuck together. He even used a knife to cut them one by one back into pieces again. He presant me the jar again. The sweet doesn’t look beautiful anymore; because it’s badly stick together. But still, a gift from him makes me sweet in my heart. Wanted to tell him badly how sweet he was….. But those words never seem to come out from my mouth. The only words he heard was “Thank you”.

If you are looking for a nice Christmas present, do drop by this colourful shop for some sweet delights. It’ll certainly surprise your loved ones.
